Take Those Performance Evaluations Seriously. If you are required to evaluate yourself in writing, think hard about everything you have achieved and lay it out in great detail. If your supervisor gives you a poor evaluation, consider writing and promptly submitting a polite, factual rebuttal. It is best to get legal advice before you engage in the process of refuting a performance appraisal.
